Türkçe Dil Yeterlik Sınavı (TDYS)
An official Turkish language proficiency exam, open to external candidates without prior course enrollment. It assesses four skills — listening, reading, speaking and writing — each worth 25% of a 100-point total, with a multiple-choice section for listening and reading followed by speaking and writing assessments. The exam covers the B2 and C1 proficiency levels.
Türkçe Seviye Tespit Sınavı (TSTS)
A Turkish level-placement exam that measures your current proficiency and places you into the appropriate level — A1, A2, B1, B2 or C1. It evaluates listening, reading, speaking and writing (25 points each, 100 total) and is open to anyone who wants to determine their Turkish level. University students are exempt from the fee.
